Prof. Jit Kumar Gupta

Prof. Jit Kumar Gupta with more than 53 years of Professional experience in architectural education, urban planning, policy planning, urban legislation, capacity building in sustainability,  green buildings, affordable housing, smart cities, urban laws; urban missions, rural planning, public participation, and urban local bodies. He is a Trustee of IIA, Senior Fellow IGBC; Fellow IIA, Fellow ITPI and has been a Founding Director of the College of  Architecture, IET, Bhaddal; Advisor   (TP) PUDA and Former CTP at SPCL. He has also been Former Chairman of BOS, Architecture, PTU; Member of Court, SUPVA; Member of Academic Council SMVDA; Current Chairman, BOE&AE, IIA; Member of BOS MRSSTU; SBSTU; former Chairman, of Chandigarh Chapter IGBC; Consultant Six Master Plans Punjab, Srinagar, Chandigarh, Four Cities of Gujrat  He has authored  18 books, over 350 technical papers related to Architectural Education, Affordable  Housing, Land, Heritage, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Sustainable Cities, Urban Planning, SDG11. Awarded Madhav Achval Gold Medal for lifetime Contribution to Architectural Education by IIA; Medal for standing first in the university in MCRP & Gandhian Studies. Currently a member of the State Transport Committee, Chandigarh UT& Advisor, Review of Master Plan Jammu 2030.
